# WhereClause.startsWith()

#### Syntax

```javascript
table.where(indexOrPrimKey).startsWith(prefix)
```

#### Parameters

| indexOrPrimKey: String | Name of an index or primary key registered in Version.stores() |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| prefix                 | Prefix to check for. Must be a string                          |
